Its our Third Annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale!

Choose from Organic Pumpkin, Organic Classic Apple and Chocolate Bourbon Pecan (our best seller!). Our 8″ pies serve six guests and cost $20, tax included. Our 10″ pies serve eight guests and cost $25, tax included.

This year we have two pick up locations: Sonoma Community Center in Sonoma and Uchiwa Raman in San Rafael. Last day to order your pies is Sunday, November 22, and you can pick them up on November 24 or 25. Email us to discuss bulk orders or delivery.

A huge thanks to everyone who purchased a Drums & Crumbs Thanksgiving Pie this year! It is always fun making them, and even more fun when we get to share them with you and our own loved ones.

Last week, Rachel and Arthur took a road trip down to Los Angeles to check in on the construction of our food truck! Look how shiny it is!

Here are a few more photos from the trip. We’ve officially paid for the now fully-constructed truck. The last step is to apply the colorful exterior vinyl wrap, which will hopefully happen the first week in December. If all goes according to (our very revised) plan, we should have the truck before Christmas!

For one night only, Sonoma-based Drums & Crumbs is hosting a pop-up event at Barking Dog Roasters, 18133 Highway 12, Sonoma, CA, 95476. Tickets include dinner, dessert and live music.

For dinner, there two are seatings: 6pm and 8pm. We’ll serve you our two-piece Fried Chicken Dinner with your choice of two of our authentic southern sides and a handmade buttermilk biscuit. Choose from White Cheddar Grits, Baked Mac & Cheese, Southern-Style Collard Greens, Spicy Black Eyed Peas and Fresh Mixed Greens.

For our vegetarian, vegan and gluten free friends, we are offering our Veggie Plate, with your choice of three sides and a buttermilk biscuit or gluten free corn muffin.

For dessert, we’ll have Rachel’s Fresh Strawberry Cobbler. Coffee and other beverages will be available for purchase from Barking Dog Roasters.

Live music is TBD.

A huge thanks to everyone who participated in our First Annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale! We surpassed our goal and received rave reviews about the pies. The best seller was Chocolate Bourbon Pecan, with Organic Pumpkin as a close second. We are already excited about next year!

Rachel & Tess declare the first pie sale a success!

Both Rachel and Arthur made their respective moves to Sonoma. In the interest of conserving finances and in acknowledgment of how much time we will be spending together during this start up year, we are now roommates. Its been a bit of an *adjustment*, but life is going pretty well up here in beautiful wine country.

In the last month, we have secured all of our required tax registrations and a business license. The business has a group health insurance plan (!!!) and will hopefully have life and liability insurance by the end of the week. Other active projects are shooting a short video for our Kickstarter campaign (more on that later) and having photos taken for our snazzy new website (in progress).

Most excitingly, we have been cooking  a lot and even had our first catering job! We are still working on getting the financing to buy the truck, so, in the meantime, we are a legit catering company. We will continue to practice our recipes in the kitchen and perfect our cooking processes while also networking like crazy to get our name out there and drum up some new business.
