Drums & Crumbs Organic Pumpkin Pie
A huge thanks to everyone who purchased a Drums & Crumbs Thanksgiving Pie this year! It is always fun making them, and even more fun when we get to share them with you and our own loved ones.
This year we offered Organic Apple Crumbs, Organic Pumpkin, and our bestseller for the second year in a row, Chocolate Bourbon Pecan made with Sonoma’s own Hooker’s House bourbon. What was your favorite? Let us know what you thought about your pies by emailing email@example.com!
The Drums & Crumbs Pie-Baking Team
Last week, Rachel and Arthur took a road trip down to Los Angeles to check in on the construction of our food truck! Look how shiny it is!
Here are a few more photos from the trip. We’ve officially paid for the now fully-constructed truck. The last step is to apply the colorful exterior vinyl wrap, which will hopefully happen the first week in December. If all goes according to (our very revised) plan, we should have the truck before Christmas!

Shouldn’t be that hard to drive… right?
Almost ready for business!

Ah, fall. That time of year when you wake up to a cool, crisp morning and still have a few hours warm afternoon sunlight streaming through the red and yellow leaves. In Sonoma, it also means the rain is on its way, and we are happy to have had a decent downpour earlier this week.
Drums & Crumbs is in its own season of change. Our pop-up cafe at the Renaissance Marin came to an expected but abrupt end as a new food business moved into the space full time. We have used this extra day to prepare for our biggest change yet, the food truck!
Like many of you, we are impatient for it to be finished, but the end is finally in sight. Construction is finished and all inspections are completed. All it needs is its bright and beautiful vinyl wrap before it’ll make the journey from Los Angeles to the North Bay. As with every other step so far, things seem to be moving slower than they should, but we have embraced the opportunity to get organized and introduce a few new faces to our team.
We are also in the final stages of one more exciting surprising… a new website! Our designer at Design Womb and our programmer at Spark Creative have collaborated to create a beautiful, modern website that captures the Drums & Crumbs brand perfectly and showcases what we offer. We can’t wait for you to see it!
We have two weeks left at the Valley of the Moon Farmers Market on Tuesday evenings in Sonoma, so come see us before its over!
Sonoma Valley Teen Services offers a fantastic program to help teenagers prepare for the “real world” called Skills for Life – Ready to Work. Teens that complete this six-week program are eligible for placement in an internship or paid employment. Everyone at Drums & Crumbs was thrilled when Lizette, a graduate of the program and a student at Sonoma Valley High School, joined us at the beginning of the summer to help with the Tuesday night farmers market. Over the past four months, she has been a wonderful addition to our team and has helped at the market each week, as well as at special events.
You can read more about the program, as well as see a photo of Rachel and Lizette at the farmers market, in a featured article in the Sonoma Index Tribune.
Last weekend, we were thrilled to be a part of the Analy High School Class of ’84 Reunion in Sebastopol! It was a perfect day at the Sebastopol Community Center, and the attendees couldn’t have been in better spirits. Congratulations on a fun and lively reunion!
We love to cater special events. Email email@example.com to get a copy of our menu and price lists.
What a great group!

Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves because we feel so lucky. Over the past year and a half, Drums & Crumbs has had the privilege of “working” at some of the most beautiful venues in the North Bay. We thought we’d take a moment to share some of our favorite sunset moments so far.

Biscuits & Gravy
This month, we are introducing one of our favorite southern classics: Biscuits & Gravy! A flaky buttermilk biscuit topped with our own pork sausage gravy… it’s a perfect snack or entree any time of day. We will be serving Biscuits & Gravy at the pop-up cafe at the Renaissance Marin every Thursday from 9am to 2:30pm. Maybe we’ll bring it to some of our other events this month, so follow us on Facebook to find out!
In addition to our regularly scheduled events at the Tuesday Nigh Farmer’s Market in Sonoma and our Thursday Pop-Up Cafe at the Renaissance Marin in San Rafael, we are setting up at some of our favorite venues this month… come see us!

2014 San Rafael Twilight Criterium
Drums & Crumbs had a front row view to the 2014 San Rafael Twilight Criterium this past weekend. We set up our tent next to Strike Brewing Co. and sold our favorite Fried Chicken Sandwich with sides of Baked Mac & Cheese and Fresh Mixed Greens. To finish it off, we had our Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie, which was so popular, we’ve started selling it at the Tuesday night farmer’s market as well.
In addition to our tent, we also had the honor of catering the VIP “Twilight Club.” Those guest were treated to a choice of Arthur’s Fried Chicken with Baked Mac & Cheese, Fresh Mixed Greens and Buttermilk Biscuits or a box of Baked Mac & Cheese, Spicy Black Eyed Peas, Fresh Mixed Greens and a gluten-free Corn Muffin.
We couldn’t have had a more exciting street debut in San Rafael. We are glad we could introduce Drums & Crumbs to so many new people.
